III. ADDITIONS TO AGENDA Secretary added two invoices to tonights agenda.
IV. REPORTS
A. Youth Report M. Ammann stated that he had nothing new to report. He is considering either a poster contest or an essay contest for the Fall. Prize amounts were discussed briefly they will remain the same - $30 gift certificates from Borders Books.
B. Depot Report The April Depot Day Report was distributed to members by D. Wehmann. 49 vehicles were serviced. The plastic/glass container was 60% full, and the paper/cardboard one was 50% full. The dumpsters were in an unusual position - doors were positioned toward rear, so all recyclables were lifted over the top. Batteries collected amounted to 2.5 gallons. No battery drum has been delivered. Bottles collected for TerraCycle amounted to 1.5 large bags. W. Harrison suggested that we update the guidelines for Depot Day. Members once again discussed means of getting Raritan Valley to place the dumpsters in the position we desire. W. Harrison briefly explained the workings of Depot Day to A. Celebre, our new member. A. Celebre volunteered to coordinate the November 3 Depot Day, and M. DiDonato volunteered for December 1.
Roadside Clean-Up flyers were distributed to all at Depot Day. D. Wehmann suggested that next year we consider distributing flyers for our Clean-Up Day at both the March and April Depot Days outlining rates, what is not acceptable, etc.
C. Environmental Commission Report A. Celebre reported that since this was her first time present at one of our meetings, she had nothing to report. She stated that she was here to observe.
D. Township Committee Report K. Machnik stated that there will be a presentation concerning the plans for the new South County Library on April 30. Details will be announced shortly.

before our meeting and commented that there was not much change.
F. SWAC Report W. Harrison reported that SWAC met on March 20, 2007 and a quorum was present. Further discussion occurred on the new County recycling plan. It seems as though we are the only County in New Jersey that excluded plastics, so as a result SWAC has decided to include plastics in their future recycling plans. A horse manure recycling pilot program has been proposed to be carried out in East Amwell Township. W. Harrison has some supporting literature. Announcement was made that Joe Davis, the State Coordinator for the Tonnage Reports will be in Hunterdon County on April 17. All are invited to attend this special meeting, especially Recycling Coordinators. A SWAC member brought an environmental survey team from Merck to the March 10 Hazardous Waste Day. It is hoped that they will propose some efficiency changes for the future. W. Harrison also shared information on a new website to find recycling services of all kinds: http://newjersey.earth911.org/
G. Other none received.
V. OLD BUSINESS
A. New Storage Shed W. Harrison repaired the latch. No battery drum has been delivered. W. Harrison reported that he has not yet spoken to the janitor. W. Harrison also mentioned that he spoke to someone from the Snack Shack and that person thought it was a good idea to place a recycling can near the Shack. Discussion followed on what type of container to use for the present time. It was decided that a blue container with a lid from Raritan Valley will be used. It was suggested that a hole be cut in the top. W. Harrison will be sure that it is marked for recyclable items only.
B. Supreme Computer & Electronic Recycling W. Harrison reported that he did speak to a representative from Supreme Computer. He explained that we could not use their services this year. But, discussion did occur concerning next year. D. Wehmann suggested that a representative from their company be available to give us a presentation at one of our meetings. They also might want to send someone to observe our Clean-Up Day. W. Harrison suggested that a container for computer electronic equipment might be considered for next years Clean-Up Day. High Bridge recently used their services, and W. Harrison will try to contact them. W. Harrison asked that both of these items under Old Business be left on the agenda.
