1.     CALL TO ORDER

 

2.     OPEN MEETING NOTICE

In compliance with the Open Public Meetings Act, it was noted that this is a regular meeting pursuant to the meeting notice published in the January 22, 2009 issue of the Hunterdon County Democrat.  On January 28, 2009 notice of this meeting was filed in the Township Clerk’s Office, sent to the Hunterdon County Democrat and the agenda was posted on the bulletin board.

 

REORGANIZATION MEETING

Nominations and vote for Chairperson

Nominates and vote for Vice-Chairperson

Approve regular meeting date as second Monday of each month for 2009

Approve Hunterdon County Democrat as place for publication of legal notices for 2009.

 

RESUME REGULAR MEETING

Review committee membership and liaison members (see tentative list of members included in this packet). 

 

3.     OPEN TO THE PUBLIC

 

Guest:  Suzanne Parsons to discuss the ongoing project to list all Conservation Easements in the Township.  You recall a grant was obtained to begin this work.  Ms. Parsons will bring us a progress report.

January hours for Judy Conard       29.5 hours @ 19.96 = $588.82

Surveyor Newton for final maps on Scibilia: locate and describe septic easement and various other work as required       $1,465.00

  • Discussion:  Focus for FOSPC for 2009.                         Gloriannne
  • Appoint committee member to attend an Orientation Meeting for East Amwell Board members.  The meeting will be held Wednesday evening February 25 at 7:00 pm at Township Building.  Purpose of the meeting is to discuss purchasing procedures and other issues. This meeting is the result of a suggestion made at the Brainstorming Meeting held by the Township Committee last year.  Tim Matheny will lead the meeting and requests as many members of each board as possible attend. 
  • Summary of requests for Farmland Preservation funding received by Hunterdon County included in this packet.

  • Save the date: Annual Land Conservation Rally MARCH 7, 2009 at Hyatt Regency in New Brunswick sponsored by NJ Conservation Foundation.
  • Final version of County Comprehensive Farmland Plan received 1/16/09.  Hard copy available in FOSPC office and Planning Board office.  Disc available from FOSPC.
  • Letter (in this packet) from Kevin Richardson at the County announcing that the East Amwell share of County Open Space Tax for 2009 is $38,497.77.  As in the past, I will prepare the required application for the Township to receive these funds.
  • Letter from E. Amwell Board of Health (in this packet) to Greg Scibilia that summarizes the current status of his application to move the septic laterals now on the preserved property.

 

 

 

 

 

           

14.  ANNOUNCEMENTS

·       CADB Meeting on February 19, 2009.  Note this is the 3rd Thursday.  The 2nd Thursday (Feb 12) is a holiday.  This meeting will present the new rankings for ALL farmland preservation applications.

·       SADC Meeting on February 26, 2009 in Trenton
