Cable Services Update
The Township Committee finalized their agreement with Comcast for cable services through an ordinance for consent agreement, adopted in December 2008. Interest public may contact tstahl@eastamwelltownship.com to obtain the July 17, 2008 minutes when the ordinance was discussed and to obtain a full copy of the ordinance, #08-21. If you have any questions about service, you may call Comcast Representatives Bob Clifton at 732-281-3704 or Bill Shelley at 732-652-2750. Comcast representatives will attend quarterly Township Committee meetings to hear comments from the public. Meeting Dates for 2010 are at the regular Township Committee meetings, beginning at 7:30 p.m., on the following dates: March 11; June 10; September 9, and December 9.
For the record, the BPU has not formerly approved the agreement as of January 2010. Note also that the Office of Cable Television (OCTV) at the BPU keeps a record of all complaints about cable television, and complaints should be filed at this location.
The July 17, 2008, minutes also have the most up to date information we have on FiOS (for the 609 area code only), presented by Anna Lustenberg of Verizon (anna.k.lustenberg@verizon.com or 609:771-0035) and Gwen Cogan (908:559-1404 or gwendolyn.i.cogan@verizon.com). As of January 2010, FiOS is still not available to our residents in the Verizon territory. You may contact either of these representatives for more information.
